hi, I use a curling wand. I start at the top, curl away from my face and I don’t curl all the way to my ends. then I just brush it out w my hands :)

with a lot of patience and a lot of crying.
Since the shape I chose was a perfect octagon I had to measure the angles /cut the basswood accurately/ make tiny perforations on the wood in the shop in order for the string to go through. the string part was a bit challenging because the idea is to create a parabolic curve using straight lines. it’s a whole process way too much for me to answer on here…look up string art, parabolic curves and you’ll will get tons of information and even tutorials.
